BRUCE B. BAKER
Bruce B. Baker of 1345 Baltimore St., Longview, founder
of the Baker's Corner and Coal Creek stores, died July 30, 1986, in a local
nursing home at the age of 92.
Before retiring, Mr. Baker also owned and operated several
taverns in Oregon.
He was born in England July 10, 1894, and had lived in
the local area since 1923, coming from Canada.
He and his wife, Ethel Baker, celebrated their 50th wedding
anniversary in February. She survives him at home.
Also surviving are two sons, Ellwood E. Kitchen of Lyle,
Wash., and Theodore L. Kitchen of Woodland; five grandchildren, several
great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
At the prior request of the deceased, there will be no
services. McVicker's Chapel on the Hill is in charge of arrangements.
