"Klickitat Heights"

Our community was shocked to hear of the sudden death by heart attack on Nov. 1st at The Dalles, of Mr. Benj. E. Daugherity, father of Mrs. Arch Russell and we all extend our heartfelt sympathy to her and family at the passing of her father, who was laid to rest at the Lyle cemetery on Nov. 4th, where the service was conducted by Rev. Haines, of Goldendale.
Besides Mrs. Russell, he leaves another daughter, Mrs. Bessie Mulkey, of Oakland, Oregon, and ten grandchildren, most of whom came to attend the funeral service.
Mr. Daugherity was held in high esteem by our neighborhood as he came often to visit the Russell family and many times attended our community gatherings and endeared himself to all by his kindly ways and cherry optimism and will long be remembered as a very fine, kindly old gentleman.
The relatives desire to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the many acts of kindness at this time and the lovely floral offerings from their many friends.
Mrs. Bessie Mulkey will stay a few days before returning to her home.
