FUNERAL SERVICE FOR BYRD CLARK AT LYLE GRANGE

     Byrd J. Clark, resident of Lyle Washington for many years, passed away at Skyline Hospital on August 14th. He was born at Hartland, in Klickitat County, Washington on December 27th, 1888, the son of Roena E. and David K. Clark.
     In Portland, Oregon on June 1st, 1915 he was united in marriage to Kamma Sorenson. He was a member of the Columbia Grange of Lyle and the Lyle Methodist Church.
     Surviving are his wife, Kamma of Lyle and a sister, Edith Sorenson of Lyle. Also numerous nieces and nephews.                Funeral services were held at the Lyle Grange Hall on Tuesday, August 18th, 2 p.m. with the Rev. Mr. Everett M. Richey officiating. Interment was at the Balch Cemetery of Lyle with the Lyle Grange participating.
     Casket bearers: (active) James Curl, Ray Hess, Tom Bryan, Russell Hunter, Marshall Hamm, Stanley Hylton. (Honorary) Homer James, Fred Smith, Leon Dean, Don Bridgefarmer.

RITES HELD FOR BYRD J. CLARK

     Final rites for Byrd J. Clark, 75, Lyle resident for many years, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 18 at the Lyle Grange Hall. Gardners Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements. The Rev. Everett M. Richey officiated. Burial was in Balch Cemetery with Columbia Grange participating.
     Bearers were (active) James Curl, Ray Hess, Tom Bryan, Russell Hunter, Marshall Hamm and Stanley Hylton; (honorary) Homer James, Fred Smith, Leon Dean and Don Bridgefarmer.
     Mr. Clark was born at Hartland, Klickitat County, Washington on December 27, 1888. He was the son of Roena and David K. Clark.
     He was married to Kamma Sorensen on June 1, 1915 in Portland, Oregon. He was a member of the Columbia Grange, Lyle, and the Lyle Methodist Church. He died Friday, August 14 at Skyline Hospital, White Salmon.
     He is survived by his widow, Kamma and sister Edith Sorensen, both of Lyle; also numerous nieces and nephews.

B.J. CLARK, LYLE NATIVE, INTERRED AT BALCH

     Byrd J. Clark, 76, lifelong resident of the Lyle area, died last Friday at Skyline Hospital following a lengthy illness. The funeral was held at Columbia Grange, Lyle, Tuesday. Interment at Balch Cemetery followed.
     Mr. Clark was well-known throughout the county. He had been active in the Grange and Methodist Church, as well as community activities. He was a past president of the Klickitat County Historical Society.
