"Snowden"

     Mrs. Bessie Conklin, formerly Miss Bessie Moore, died Feb. 11, 1916. She was born in Clackamas county, Ore., August 17th, 1892, and came to Snowden with her mother, Mrs. P. Moore, about 12 years ago, and was married to Mr. Conklin about five years ago. They have one child, Viola. She leaves a wide circle of relatives and friends to mourn her death. Her mother, brothers and sisters were all at her death-bed except Mrs. Mary Jones and F.E. Moore of Oregon City and Tillamook. Interment was made in the Lyle cemetery.

"Burdoin Heights"

     The sympathy of the whole mountain is extended to John Moore, of the Swan-Hamann mill, in the death of his sister, Mrs. Clinton Conklin of Lyle, which occurred on Friday of last week. Mr. Moore departed immediately on receipt of the telegram announcing his sister's demise. I.N. Williams has volunteered to care for his teams at the mill during his absence.
