BARBARA YANDA
A recitation of the Rosary was held at 7:30 p.m. Friday,
March 19, at Gardners Funeral Home and Requiem mass held at St. Joseph's
Catholic Church, White Salmon, at 9 a.m., Saturday, March 20, for Mrs. Frank
(Barbara) Yanda, 66 of Pasco. Burial was in the W.S. I.O.O.F cemetery.
Mrs. Yanda, the daughter of John and Mary Malson, was
born May 25, 1887 in Odessa, Russia and she came to the U.S. as a child of
seven. Her husband died about four years ago.
Seven children survive her: Mrs. Rose Casey of Alexandria,
Virginia; Mrs. William (Mary) Katt of W.S.; Mrs. Lou Shideler of Long Beach,
Calif.; Mrs. Viola Elledge of Pasco; Theodore Yanda of Collyer, Kansas; Franklin
Yanda of Wichita, Kansas; James Yanda of Pasco; four brothers - Sebastion
Malson of Havor, Mont.; and George, Lawrence and Ted Wiesberger, all of Collyer,
Kansas; 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

FUNERALS
Services will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church,
W.S. at 9 a.m. Saturday for ex-resident Mrs. Frank (Barbara) Yanda, Pasco,
who died at Emanuel hospital, Portland, Tuesday, March 16. Burial will be
in the local IOOF cemetery. Rosary is at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Mrs. Yanda was born in Odessa, Russia, May 24, 1887 and
immigrated to the U.S. at the age of seven. Her husband died about four years
ago. Among her survivors is Mrs. Wm. Katt of W.S.

MRS. BARBARA YANDA
Mrs. Barbara Yanda, age 66, passed away at a Portland
hospital Tuesday, March 16.
She was born on May 25, 1887 in Odessa, Russia. She is
a former resident of White Salmon.
She is survived by her daughters: Mrs. Rose Casey of
Alexandria, Virginia; Mrs. Mary Katt of White Salmon; Mrs. Low Shideler,
Long Beach, California; Mrs. Viola Ellidge of Pasco, Wash.; three sons: Theodor
of Collyer, Kansas; Franklin of Wichita, Kansas; and James of Pasco, Wash.;
also four brothers: Mr. Malson of Hoover, Mont.; George Malson of Collyer,
Kansas; Lawrence Malson and Ted Malson. 11 grandchildren and several great
grandchildren also survive.
A Rosary will be held in Gardner's Chapel on at 7:30
Friday evening with Mass at 7:00 in the evening at St. Joseph's Church. Burial
will be in the IOOF Cemetery here.
