SERVICES FOR B. ZIMMERMAN HELD TODAY
Funeral services for Bessie Mary Zimmerman will be held
Thursday, May 16th, at 2:00 p.m. at Gardner's Funeral Home in White Salmon.
Rev. Donald Kaelin of the United Methodist Church will officiate at the services.
Interment will be at the White Salmon Cemetery.
Bessie Mary Dilley was born on November 24, 1907 near
Salem, Oregon. While still very small, she moved with her family to eastern
Oregon. On December 9, 1925, she married Arthur Chesley Zimmerman and they
made their home on a farm near White Salmon. After her husband's death in
1959, she moved into White Salmon. She passed away May 13th at Skyline Hospital
in White Salmon.
She had been a member of the United Methodist Women for
a number of years.
She is survived by her children: Margaret Gump of St.
Helen's, Oregon, Thomas A. Zimmerman of White Salmon, Sarah Smith of Hood
River, Oregon, and James E. Zimmerman of The Dalles, Oregon.
There are also surviving seven grandchildren and two
brothers: Walter W. Dilley of Colton, Oregon and George Dilley of Salem,
Oregon and two sisters: Kathryn Young of Salem, Oregon and Wilma Jennings
of Chico, California.
Two sisters preceded her in death: Florence Demming and
Peggy Mercer.
