WM. HENRY BONHAM
Wm. Henry (Hank) Bonham died on Sept. 14, 2005, at the
age of 96. He was born on July 17, 1909, in Pullman, to Archie and Mae (Ruddick)
Bonham.
Mr. Bonham grew up in the Grays Harbor area and graduated
from Hoquiam High School in 1929. As a teenager he began work as a packer,
running pack strings of horses and mules, delivering supplies throughout
the Olympic mountains to lookouts and CCC crews, working out of Lake
Quinault.
He later moved to the Toledo/Winlock area of Washington
where he ranched and continued his job as a packer in the Spirit Lake region.
He moved to Panakanic, north of Appleton, in 1958, where he continued ranching
and worked for the Department of Natural Resources out of Glenwood, until
retirement in 1974. He continued ranching until 1989 and continued keeping
horses and riding for several years after that.
Mr. Bonham had a wonderful sense of humor and loved the
outdoors, his photography and his family.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Irene (Kennedy)
Bonham; his children Maureen Bonham, Shelton, Archie Bonham, Lyle, Linda
Kelly, Tillamook, Ore., and Sandy Alley, Appleton; 13 grandchildren, 17 great
grandchildren and two great, great-grandchildren.
Mr. Bonham was well loved and will be missed greatly
by his family and friends.

Home's Columbia River Crematory.
