STEIFER

     Berlie O. Steifer died Nov. 28 in Goldendale. She was 78.
     Steifer was born April 15, 1910 in Missouri. In 1930, she married Joseph Steifer in Kansas City, Kansas.
     The couple moved to California in 1940. Mr. Steifer died in 1962 and Berlie lived in Nevada until coming to Goldendale in 1980.
     She is survived by one son, Thomas Steifer of Ferndale; one brother, Ralph Vaughan of Kansas City, and many friends.
     Berlie was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, the Senior Citizens and the American Legion Auxiliary in Goldendale.
     Rosary services were held Thursday, Dec. 1 at 7:30 p.m. with Mass of Christian Burial on Dec. 2 at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Father Thomas V. Lane, celebrant.
     Graveside services in Holy Trinity Cemetery were under the auspices of the American Legion Auxiliary. Interment followed under the direction of the Knosher-Erdman Funeral Home.
