BESSIE THOMPSON
Bessie Tuthill Thompson, widow of William Arthur Thompson,
died June 3, 2006, in Yelm.
Funeral services will be held at Nisqually Tribal Center
on June 7, 2006, with committal service on June 8, 2006, at the White Salmon
Cemetery.

BESSIE THOMPSON
Bessie Ruth Tuthill Thompson, 94, of Yelm, died June
3, 2006, at Easthaven Villa Care Center.
She was born in Los Angeles, Calif., where she graduated
from high school and college.
She married Wm. Arthur Thompson in 1933, they lived in
Lyle, Pomeroy and Chard, and Hermiston and Prineville, Ore., where her husband
died.
Mrs. Thompson had a wide range of careers: homemaker,
licensed practical nurse, assistant registrar of Northwest College of Kirkland,
and librarian/missionary at the International Correspondence Institute in
Brussels, Belgium. She then retired at the age of 74.
She lived in Olympia and Yelm from 1985 until her death.
She was a founding member of the North Thurston Life Center Church. She was
preceded in death by her husband, Art, and by three brothers.
Mrs. Thompson is survived by six siblings; four children
Art Thompson, Hillsboro, Ore., Sid R. Thompson, Santa Barbara, Calif., Dave
Thompson, Fairbanks, Alaska, and Sue R. Charles, Olympia; six grandchildren;
five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews, and a host of other
loved ones and friends.
Services were held June 7, 2006, at the Nisqually Tribal
Center, with graveside and interment at White Salmon Cemetery June 8, 2006.

She married William "Arthur" Thompson in 1933; they lived in Lyle, Washington,
Hermiston, Oregon, and Prineville, Oregon.

Services will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2006, at
1:00 p.m. at the Nisqually Tribal Center, 4820 She-Nah-Num Drive N.E., Olympia
(adjacent to Red Wind Casino), preceded by a visitation from 12:00 noon to
1:00 p.m. A graveside service and interment will be at White Salmon Cemetery
(Klickitat County District #1), on Thursday, June 8, 2006, at 1:30 p.m.
