BERTHA INGRAM
Long time Gorge resident Bertha Virginia Ingram, died
Oct. 11, 2000, in Vancouver, at the age of 94.
Mrs. Ingram was born to Frank and Sarah Marshall on Aug.
3, 1906, in Cook County, Md. The family moved west when she was three, and
she spent her entire life in several mid-Colombia communities
In 1930, Mrs. Ingram met and married Aubert Ingram, and
they spent the early years of their marriage in the Mt. Adams area, where
both were employed by the U.S. Forest Service. Later the family moved to
a farm near Skyline Hospital, where they lived for many years. Mr. Ingram
died in 1980, after nearly 50 years of marriage.
She was a member of the Hood River Valley Christian Church.
Mrs. Ingram is survived by children Judy Tebbs, Portland,
and Ron Ingram, BZ Corners; sister Alene Steve, Vancouver; and three
grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by
her husband, four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ingram were held Monday, Oct.
16, 2000, at 2:30 p.m. at Gardner Chapel in White Salmon, with Dr. Dan Armstrong
officiating.
Interment was in White Salmon Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Gardner Funeral Home of
White Salmon.
