BENJAMIN WOODWARD MORGAN
Benjamin Woodward Morgan was born August 13, 1856, in
Davenport, Iowa. He married Mary Gertrude Harrison in Lewisville, Texas,
on October 6, 1886. He came to Washington as a young man and has lived here
since, with the exception of a few years spent in Wamic, Oregon. He and his
wife came to White Salmon in 1907. He has been a member of the Methodist
Church since young manhood. He was widowed in December 1923 and his wife
is buried in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
He leaves a brother, Samuel Morgan, living in Vancouver,
Wash., and three foster children, Peter Morgan and Mrs. Oscar Tuerch of Portland
and Mrs. Walter Tedford of Zillah, Washington. Funeral services were conducted
from Gardner's Funeral Home by Rev. Roy Jenkins and internment was made beside
his wife in the White Salmon Cemetery.
