     A funeral service for Caroll Berglund will be held on Friday, Feb. 16, 2001, at 2 p.m. at Gardner Chapel in White Salmon. A full obituary will appear at a later date.

CAROLL BERGLUND

     Caroll L. Berglund, a White Salmon resident since 1972, died Feb. 9, 2001, in Portland. Ore., at the age of 82.
     Mrs. Berglund was born Nov. 15,1918, in Malta, Mont., to Harry R. and Ruth Lyden. She married Melvin James Berglund on June 7, 1947, in Ballard in the Norwegian Lutheran Church. The couple moved to White Salmon in 1972.
     Mrs. Berglund is survived by her husband, Melvin. White Salmon; many cousins in Seattle, Minnesota and Los Angeles; and by many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Glen H. Lyden and Kenneth R. Lyden. Funeral services for Mrs. Berglund were held Friday, Feb. 16, 2001, at 2 p.m. at Gardner Funeral Chapel in White Salmon, with Pastor Sandy Strait officiating. Interment was at White Salmon Cemetery.
     Memorials may be made to the Skyline Foundation in care of Gardner Funeral Home, PO Box 390. White Salmon, Wash. 98672, which was in charge of arrangements.
