CHARLEY SISSON SLASHES WRIST, SUCCESSFUL IN ATTEMPT ON LIFE;
DIES IN HOOD RIVER HOSPITAL

     Charley Sisson, well known White Salmon man, slashed his wrist with a pocket knife while still lying in bed early Thursday morning, resulting in his death a short time after it was discovered by Mrs. Sisson. He died at the Hood River hospital.
     Sisson had been in ill health for some months and apparently became despondent. Judge A.B. Groshong who was called to the Sisson home, reported that Sisson had apparently cut his wrist sometime during the night.
     Funeral arrangements had not been made late Thursday, awaiting the arrival of a son Wesley Sisson. Gardner's Funeral Home will have charge of arrangements.
