CAROL A. TAYLOR
Carol A. Taylor, a member of the White Salmon community
since 1981, died Sunday, Dec. 8, in Portland, Ore., at the age of 49.
Mrs. Taylor was born Jan. 11, 1936 to O. James and Bonnie
(Maxwell) Kunsman in Portland, Ore. She married T. Reed Taylor in April of
1974.
She was raised again in Vancouver, Wash. Mrs. Taylor
taught school for 15 years before going into a casework for the Dept. of
Social and Health Services. She worked for the Willoughby Hearing Aid Co.
the last two years before her illness forced her into retirement. She moved
to Hood River in 1973, then to White Salmon in 1981. Mrs. Taylor enjoyed
playing golf and fishing. She also was a member of the Mt. Adams Soroptimists
and the Church of Latter-day Saints.
She is survived by her husband Reed, White Salmon; mother
Bonnie Kunsman of Vancouver, Wash.; sons Mark Temple of Portland, Ore., Brian
Taylor of Provo, Utah, and Matthew Taylor of the Idaho Falls, Idaho;
step-daughter Kitty Britton of Hood River; and sister Maribeth Rushing of
Anchorage, Alaska.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday, Dec. 12, at
the LDS Church of White Salmon, with Bishop Butler officiating. Interment
followed in the White Salmon Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Gardner
Funeral Home of White Salmon.
Memorial contributions may be made to Providence Medical
Cancer Society, care of Providence Hospital, Portland, Ore.
