CLARENCE HATCH SERVICES HELD JANUARY 28TH
Clarence Bud Hatch passed away at his residence in Underwood
on January 25th, at the age of 88 years. He was born December 25, 1880 in
Atchison City, Kansas, to Luther and Ann Hatch.
He married Clara Blocher on May 25, 1909 in Hood River,
Oregon. They made their home in Hood River until 1933 when they moved to
Goldendale, Washington. In 1946 they bought a farm on the Snowden Road out
of White Salmon. They worked the farm until they bought their present home
in Underwood in 1957. During his lifetime Clarence had been a contractor
and construction builder.
He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Pythias.
Surviving him is his wife, Clara Hatch of Underwood;
a son Jack Floyd Hatch, of Tooele, Utah; four daughters, Vera McKenny of
Milwaukie, Oregon, Hazel Aplin of White Salmon; Viola Ritenour of Ridgefield,
Washington, and Maude Craton of Lakegrove, Oregon; and eight grandchildren
and nine great-grandchildren. A son, Bert Kenneth Hatch preceded him in death
February 25, 1964.
Funeral services were held at Gardner's Funeral Home,
January 28th at 1:30 P.M. Rev. Paul Haynes of the Seventh Day Adventist Church
of Hood River, Oregon officiated. Interment was in the White Salmon Cemetery.
