MRS. CHRISTIAN KAPP
Mrs. Christian Kapp, 56, died at her home in Underwood,
Washington, December 18, 1929, after a lingering illness of several months.
She was born in Oberstenfeld, Germany, May 3, 1873, coming to Peoria, Illinois
in 1890 and a few years later moving to Portland, Oregon.
She was married in Portland, Jan. 6, 1900, to Heinrich
Kapp. After her marriage she moved to Pendleton, Or., coming to Underwood,
October 1, 1901, where she resided until her death.
She is survived by her husband, Heinrich Kapp; two sons,
Heinrich Jr. and Carl; four daughters, Rosa and Maria Kapp, Mrs. Henrietta
Godfrey all of Underwood and Mrs. Julia Slutz of Bingen, Washington; also
two brothers, Ernest Bauerle of Hammer, Idaho and William Bauerle of Seattle,
Wash.; five sisters, Mrs. Martha Stocks and Mrs. Anna Fraser of Portland,
Oregon, Mrs. L.F. Danforth of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. J.R. Peterson of
Sugar City, Idaho and Mrs. Marie Toyn of Cobre, Nevada.
Funeral services were held at Underwood Saturday afternoon.
