ILLNESS CLAIMS CLYDE C. KEELE
Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 10 at 1 p.m.
for Clyde C. Keele, who died April 7 at the Veteran's Hospital in Walla Walla
after a long illness. The Rev. William L. Newkirk officiated. Burial was
in Goodwill Cemetery at White Salmon.
Casket bearers were Amos Larsen, Clarence Johnson, Frank
Wilke, Walter Brost, Les Mulkey and Kenneth Clements.
Mr. Keele was born June 10, 1902 at Payette, Idaho. He
married Virginia Hall on July 8, 1937 at Payette, Idaho. They had lived in
Bingen since 1941. Prior to his illness he was employed by Broughton Lumber
Company.
Survivors include his widow, Virginia, of Bingen; two
daughters, Karen Garrett of White Salmon and Brenda Keele of Bingen; two
grandchildren; his father, Grover Keele of Vancouver; two sisters, Mrs, Marie
Wright of Palmer, Alaska and Mrs. Velma Owen of Salem, Ore.
