     On last Sunday another Pioneer of Glenwood passed away. Mrs. Peter Conboy, who has been sick for some time, passed away Sunday. The funeral will take place tomorrow, when she will be laid to rest in the Mt. Adams cemetery.

     Catherine Staack Conboy was born in Adrum, Germany, on May 25th, 1865, and died at Portland, Oregon, August 13th, 1922, at the age of 57 years, 2 months and 19 days.
     In the year 1868 she came to the United States with her parents and lived with her sister until the year 1881, when she came to Camas Prairie, the home of her mother.
     On December 28th, 1887, she was married to Peter Conboy. To this union were born eight children, all of whom survive her.
     Mrs. Conboy was a loving and devoted mother, and leaves to mourn her loss her husband, Peter Conboy; her sons, Ralph, Roy, Walter, Orie and Lea; her daughters, Kathryn, Grace and Ada, all of Glenwood, Wash.; one grand-daughter, June of Easton, Wash.; one brother, Peter Staack, of Laurel, Wash; and one sister, Mrs. Mary Rhoda of Omaha, Neb., besides a large host of friends.
     Mrs. Conboy was a member of the Lutheran church. She was also a member of the pioneer's association since its organization, as well and favorably known in the community, and was loved by all, being of a loving and retiring disposition.      The sympathy of the entire community is extended to the bereaved husband and children in their loss of this beloved mother.
