CHRISTIAN E. LARSON PASSES AT UNDERWOOD
Christian E. Larson was born in Norway May 26th, 1853.
He came to America some fifty years ago, making his home in Iowa for a while
and later in Astoria, Oregon.
It is nearly fifty years ago that he came to Underwood,
where he has had charge of the U.S. fish hatchery for many years. Mr. Larson
was one of our best and most useful citizens, and his departure is a great
loss to the community and a host of friends.
He died from a stroke of appoplexy Monday morning, December
21st aged 78 years, 6 months and 25 days. He is survived by his widow, five
sons and one daughter, twelve grandchildren and one great grand child. Interment
was the in the Underwood cemetery, Rev. H. G. Rominger, officiating.

Christian E. Larson was born in Norway, May 26, 1853.
He came to America more than 50 years ago. He lived in Iowa for some time
before he came to Astoria, Ore. and soon afterward removed to Underwood where
he has resided for the past 50 years. He departed this life Monday morning,
Dec. 21 at the age of 78 years, 6 months and 25 days.
He is survived by his wife, five sons and one daughter,
12 grand children and one great grandchild. Gardner's Funeral Service had
charge of the funeral.
