SERVICES SATURDAY FOR LOCAL RESIDENT
Funeral services for Charles E. Mesecher will be held Saturday, January 14, at 2 p.m. in the Knosher Funeral Home. Rev. M.B. Ketcham will officiate. Interment will be in the Spring Creek Cemetery.

CHARLES ELBA MESECHER
Charles L. but Mesecher was born August 12, 1890 to Francis
and Alice Mesecher in Goldendale and died January 9, 1967 at the age of 76
years, four months and 27 days.
Mr. Mesecher lived his life in the farming area of Goldendale
and received his education in the rural schools. He was engaged in farming
all of his life from the age of 10 years old.
During World War I he served his country for two years
in France. He was united in marriage to Rose Hart on June 14, 1925 in Payette,
Ida. To this union four children were born.
He had been a member of the Goldendale Baptist Church
since 1940. He was a member of the Goldendale Grange, American Legion, Veterans
of World War I, Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his widow, Rose; two sons, Charles
of Goldendale and Gail, Portland; two daughters, Marion Holly, Glenwood and
Fern Humphrey of Marquette, Mich.; two brothers Harry and Zelbert, Goldendale;
two sisters, Reba I. Marsh, Ellensburg and Alice I. Bruner, Goldendale; 11
grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted January 14 at the Knosher
Funeral Home with Rev. M.B. Ketcham officiating. Honorary pallbearers were
August Jackel, Raleigh Largent, Guy Moore and Chris Adams. Active pallbearers
were Cecil Butts, E.H. Amidon, Art Winterstein, R.H. Sellers, Bud Williams
and Ed VanAelst.
Interment was in the Spring Creek Cemetery under the
auspices of Louis Leidl Post No. 116 American Legion.
