CHUCK GIMLIN

     Charley Floyd "Chuck" Gimlin, a Glenwood resident since the age of 6, died Sunday, Feb.18, 2001, in White Salmon, at the age of 44.
     Mr. Gimlin was born Sept. 7, 1956, in Yakima, to Robert Eugene and Charlene (Warren) Gimlin. He moved to Glenwood in 1962 and graduated from Glenwood High School in 1975. While in high school, he worked for the Department of Natural Resources during the summers. He also worked for 10 years for the Klickitat County Road Department. He became self-employed, working for Glenwood Timber Cutters, Inc. for seven years before converting the company over to Gimlin Trucking.
     Mr. Gimlin married Jan Marie Carr in 1978. He was a family man and loved to spend time with his family. He had a love for the outdoors and liked to fish, hunt and snowmobile. He also loved baseball, basketball, bowling and golf. He coached baseball for a year, was a basketball referee and was a Little League and All-Star coach.
     He was a member of the volunteer fire department, a fire commissioner, a part of the Glenwood Rodeo Association, and a past member of the Elks.
     Mr. Gimlin is survived by his wife Jan, Glenwood; mother Charlene Gimlin, Glenwood; twin sons Bradley Keith and Brent Kraig Gimlin, both of Glenwood; brothers Robert E. Gimlin, Vancouver, and Michael A. Gimlin. Glenwood; sister Susan D. Williams, Washougal; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and five great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Robert E. Gimlin in 1985; his grandparents Floyd and Mary Gimlin, Charley and Mildred Warren Kelly, and Ray Kelly; and aunt Lucille Craft.
     Funeral services for Mr. Gimlin will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, 2001, at Gardner Chapel in White Salmon, with Pastor Sandy Strait officiating.
     Memorials may be made to the Glenwood Fire Department.
     Arrangements were handled by Gardner Funeral Home of White Salmon.

     Funeral services will he held Thursday, Feb. 22 at 1 p.m. at Gardner Chapel in White Salmon with Pastor Sandy Strait and Elks officers officiating. Arrangements are the care of Gardner Funeral Home in White Salmon
