"Klickitat Intelligence"

PASSING OF A PIONEER - A dispatch was received in this city on June 11 that Chester Dymond, father of County Commissioner Dymond, had died at his home at Glenwood, aged 77 years, on Friday, June 10th. Hearty disease and dropsy were the immediate causes of his death. Mr. Dymond was born in New York State in 1827. He moved to the Willamette Valley in 1877, and to Klickitat County in 1880. He left, besides a wife, two sons, D.C. and G.A. Dymond. Mr. A.W. Clark of Goldendale, who was in western Klickitat last week, states that Mr. Dymond had been sick for the past six months, and that the citizens of that section sincerely mourn his loss. Also that the family extend their thanks to the many kind of neighbors for the courtesies rendered during the illness and death of Mr. Dymond.
