CARRIE H. KUHNHAUSEN
Carrie Hope Kuhnhausen, a longtime Glenwood resident,
died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 1993.
Mrs. Kuhnhausen, 81, was born on June 4, 1912 in Buena,
Washington to Alice (Rogers) and Charles Carter. She moved to Seattle at
the age of 12. There she met her husband of 67 years, Herman. Together the
couple moved to Glenwood and resided there all of their lives.
She was a member of the Pioneer Memorial Community Church
in Glenwood. At one time, she and Herman reigned over the Klickitat County
Fair and Parade as Grand Marshals. Some of her favorite activities were reading
and gardening. Mrs. Kuhnhausen was preceded in
death by her daughter Ruth Alice Danielson and her son Herman Rodger Kuhnhausen.
Survivors include her husband Herman of Glenwood, her daughter Evelyn L.
Skaar of Stevenson and her son Harold D. Kuhnhausen of Glenwood. She is also
survived by her brother Virgil Carter of Irrigon, Ore., and her sister Florence
Moreland of Portland. She had 17 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 6, 1993, at
the Pioneer Memorial Community Church in Glenwood. Rev. Greg Petrie and Rev.
Gary Wilberbuer officiated at the funeral service.
The family suggests that contributions be given to the
Pioneer Memorial Community Church.
