CHARLES LANE RITES MONDAY
Charles Henry Lane, 81, for many years a resident of
Lyle, died at Skyline hospital last Wednesday, May 27, after a long illness.
Services were held at 2 p.m., Monday June 1, at Gardner's Funeral chapel
in W.S. The Rev. George George officiated. Interment was in Christ-Zada Cemetery,
Underwood.
Mr. Lane is survived by two sons, Harold Wayne of The
Dalles and Louis of Brookings, Ore.; three daughters, Avid Pabst of Tacoma,
Gladys Benson of Shelton and Josephine Thomas of The Dalles; a stepdaughter
at Beaverton, Ore.; a brother, Carl Wayne of Salem, Ore.; a sister Effie
Bond of Blanchard, Okla.; and his sister-in-law, Mrs. Kate Lane of Bingen.
