CHARLES REESE
Charles Reese was born in Jackson, Michigan, October
16, 1861. He was married to Miss Nettie Griffin in Sunfield, Michigan in
1886, to which union five children were born all of whom survive him. His
wife passed away in 1913.
He came west about twenty-five years ago, settling in
Portland where he made his home for several years. He came to High Prairie,
Washington about twenty-two years ago where he took up a homestead.
He passed away near Lyle, Washington on March 17th, 1932,
at the age of 70 years, 5 months and 1 day, after a long illness.
His surviving children are: Mrs. Florence Cole and Mrs.
Georgia Hull, Jackson, Michigan; Frank Reese, Parma, Michigan; Mrs. Ethel
O'Brien, Portland, Oregon, and Mrs. O.E. White, Port Angeles, Washington.
Funeral services were held at the Hartland cemetery Monday,
March 21st, Elder H. B. Ham officiating, with M.W. Chapman, mortician in
charge.
