DEATH SUMMONS CHARLES GARNER
Services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 13 at the
Lyle Methodist Church for Charles Garner, 79, retired farmer from Lyle.
Gardners Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.
The Rev. Billy Besant officiated. Burial was in Balch cemetery.
Casket bearers were Al Trimble, James Curl, R. Rutledge,
T. Woll, L. Shigley, and C. Cooper.
Mr. Garner was born July 13, 1891 at Palouse, Wash. and
died May 10, 1961 at a LaCenter nursing home.
He is survived by a sister, Rose Garner of White Salmon;
niece Marie Turner of Carson; and four nephews, John Splawn of White Salmon,
Melvin Garner of Lyle. Delbert Garner and William Splawn of Seaside, Ore.
