CHESTER MARTZALL SERVICES HELD IN GLENWOOD
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00
p.m. at the Glenwood Church for Chester Ivan Martzall, age 26 years, 8 months
and 30 days, who died August 6th at Cornell, Washington as the result of
a truck accident.
Chester Ivan Martzall was born on November 7, 1922 at
Ford, Washington. Martzall was thrown from a truck at Cornell on August 6th.
He had been working for the State Highway department. Gardner Funeral Home
of White Salmon had charge of the service with Mr. Surface officiating as
minister. A joint Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion conducted
the military service.
He is survived by a brother, Eugene Glenwood; and five
sisters, Audrey Pritchard, Wilda Kuhnhausen, Carren Martzall, Sharran Martzall
and Donell Dean Throop.
Burial was in the Glenwood cemetery.

LAST RITES HELD FOR C. MARTZALL
The community of Glenwood paid its last respects to Chester
Martzall, 27-year-old Glenwood man who died August 6, following an accident
in which a truck backed over him on August 3 while he was working for the
State Highway Department near Pasco. Chester was the son of Mr. and Mrs.
W.A. Martzall and had lived in the Glenwood community for many years. Services
were held in Glenwood August 10 with the Rev. S.S. Surface
officiating.
Survivors include, his aprents, Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Martzall,
Mrs. Audrey Pritchard, Mrs. Wilda Kuhnhausen, Sharon and Karen Martzall,
and Eugene Martzall, all of Glenwood, and Mrs. Donald Throop, of Portland,
Oregon.
