CLARENCE JAMES MORRIN
Clarence James Morrin, 82, a resident of the Lyle/Murdock
area died at the local hospital on April 12, 1995.
He was born Dec. 12, 1912 on Princeton, Mo., one of 10
children to George and Mary Margaret (Snyder) Morin. He grew up in Missouri
and Oklahoma.
He married Neoma Virginia Clanton on October 28, 1937 in Missouri.
He came west in the mid-1940s and settled in the Lyle
are in the late 1940s. He worked as a cement finisher on the Dalles Dam and
Bridge until and on-the-job site injury on April 14, 1957, force his retirement
due to a disability.
He was an avid hunter and salmon and steelhead fisherman.
He is survived by his daughter, Charlene Morrin, Bothel,
Wash., and a son, Garry Achziger, Connell, Wash.; ten grandchildren, 15
great-grandchildren; his ex-wife, Neoma Maas, Everett, Wash.; a sister, Hazel
Woods, Wichita, and numerous hunting and fishing buddies.
Viewing visitation will be at Spencer, Libby & Powell
Funeral Home on Saturday, April 15, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Graveside services
at Lyle Cemetery is at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 15.
