OBITUARIES

     Funeral services for Claude Campbell will be held Friday, July 10th, at 10 a.m. at Gardner's Funeral Home in White Salmon. Claude was a resident of White Salmon for the past 29 years. He passed away at his home on July 5th.
     He was born to William and Almedia Campbell in Joplin County, Missouri on May 18, 1901. Claude was united in marriage to Sylvia May Winters in Salem, Oregon on November 16, 1929.
     Surviving him is his wife, Sylvia of White Salmon. Three daughters: Mrs. Carl (Joan) Walker and Mrs. Dale (Judy) Fink of White Salmon; Mrs. John (Melva) VanVliet of Battleground, Washington. One son, Jack E. Campbell of Mayport, Florida, who is presently aboard he U.S. Albany in France.
     Four sisters: Mrs. Wes (Irene) Brock of Yakima, Washington; Pearl Thomas of Craigmount, Idaho; Eva Simmons and Mrs. Wayne (Myrtle) Crowell of Enterprise, Oregon. Three brothers: Robert Campbell of White Salmon; Fred Campbell of Carson, Washington and Harold Campbell of Portland, Oregon.
     Also eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
     Claude will be missed by all his family and many friends.
