CLIFFORD CLAPP DIES THURSDAY
Clifford Clapp, 62, Carson, passed away at Vancouver
Memorial Hospital early Thursday according to word received here at press
time. He had been ill for some time and was admitted to the hospital from
Columbia View Manor Wednesday.
Gardner's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements,
which are pending. A complete obituary will be carried next week.

RITES READ FOR CLIFFORD CLAPP
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 10 for Clifford
Clapp of Carson, who died at Vancouver Hospital May 8 at the age of 62.
Mr. Clapp was born at South Bend, Wash., on April 17,
1907. He had been a resident of Carson for approximately 14 years, and had
been employed as a lathe operator, and worked for a Hegewald Timber Co. for
12 years.
Surviving are his widow, Anna, Carson; a son, Norman
of Seattle; two daughters, Darlene Hollis of Stevenson and Judy Seamen of
Stevenson; nine grandchildren; a sister, Myrtle Severson of Tigard, Ore.;
half-sister, Anita Thomas of Tacoma, and brother, Kenneth Clapp, Tacoma.
Services were held at Gardner's Chapel in White Salmon
with Mr. Lyle Godfrey of officiating. Interment followed at the White Salmon
Cemetery.
