     Charles Lewis Course, a well known resident of the Lyle section, died at his home near Lyle, February 4, 1923. Mr. Course was born in Perry county, Missouri, October 4, 1868. He was married in 1894 to Mary E. Bruner, to which union were born four children, three of whom are living, Mrs. S.L. Dean, Mrs. Lloyd McNabb and Walter, all of Lyle. He moved with his family to Goldendale, Wash., in 1901, taking up a homestead, and lived in this vicinity until 1910. He moved to Lyle, where he was since engaged in the mercantile business. Mr. Course was a member of the Modern Woodman Lodge, and a believer in the principles of the Baptist church. The services were held Tuesday at 11 o'clock in the Chapman chapel, M.L. Sanders, D.D., pastor of the Methodist church officiating. Interment was made in the Spring Creek Cemetery. A number of Lyle people were in Goldendale in attendance at the funeral services.
