CRAIG CHAPPEL
Craig M. Chappel, a resident of White Salmon since 1962,
died Sunday in Johnston City, Ill., at the age of 20.
Mr. Chappel was born Oct. 22, 1961, in Richland to Mr.
and Mrs. Walter Chappel. He was a 1980 graduate of Columbia High School in
White Salmon and a 1982 graduate of Tomlinson College in Cleveland, Tenn.
He was also a member of his college chorale group and of the Church of God
of Prophecy in White Salmon.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter (Pete)
Chappel, White Salmon; two grandmothers, Clara Chappel, White Salmon and
Ruby Parnell, Vancouver; and five sisters, Dawn Chappel, Goldendale, Candace
Walling, Camas, Lila Chappel, Forest Grove, Ore., Nancy Gale, Kennewick and
Nadine Bransum, Muskogee, Okla.
Funeral services for Mr. Chappel will be held today
(Thursday) at 4 p.m. at the Columbia High School gymnasium in White Salmon,
with Rev. Gary Springer officiating. Interment will be in the White Salmon
cemetery.
