CLEAH M. FINK
Cleah M. Fink died last Thursday at her Klickitat home.
She was 84.
Mrs. Fink was born July 12, 1908 in Anaheim, Calif. to
Emma Jane (Simmons) and Ira Teter. The family moved from Gates, Ore. in 1928
to Laurel, Wash. before moving to BZ Corners then to White Salmon, North
Bonneville and Underwood.
In 1947 the family moved to Klickitat which was home
until her death except for a brief period in California. After the death
of her husband, she moved to Mt. View, Calif. in 1962 and worked for ITT
making compactors for space shuttles Col. John Glenn flew. She returned to
Klickitat and worked at Underwood Fruit until retirement in 1968.
Mrs. Fink was active in the Union Auxiliary, Klickitat
Senior Citizens and Grange Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, dancing
and her grandchildren. She was known as Grandma to neighborhood kids.
She is survived by her sons, Merlin Fink of Underwood
and Wayne Fink of Klickitat; daughter, Margie Powell of Lyle; 13 grandchildren;
19 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, numerous nieces and
nephews; sister, Connie Stone of Danville, Calif. She was preceded in death
by Ila Bump and twin brothers.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 17, at 2 p.m.
at Gardner Funeral Home in White Salmon, followed by committal in White Salmon
Cemetery.
Contributions may be given to the American Cancer
Society.

Cleah M. Fink, 84, of Klickitat, passed away February
11, 1993 at her home.
She was born July 12, 1908 in Anaheim, Calif. to Ira

The family moved from Gates, Ore. in 1928 to Laurel,
Wash., from there to BZ Corners, then to White Salmon, North Bonneville and
Underwood; in 1947 they moved to Klickitat, which was home until the present

Even the neighborhood kids called her Grandma and were in and out of her
home. In her later years her special love was dancing; she went dancing at
the day before her death.
Survivors include two sons, Merlin Fink of Underwood,
and Wayne Fink of Klickitat; one daughter, Margie Powell of Lyle; 13
grandchildren; 19 great grand-children; one great great grandchild; numerous
nieces and nephews; and also a sister, Connie Stone of Danville, Calif.

Funeral Home in White Salmon, with burial at the White Salmon Cemetery. Gardner
Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
