RITES HELD FOR CARRIE RAUSCHER, LOCAL PIONEER
Mrs. Carrie M. Rauscher, 78, a resident of Goldendale
since 1916, passed away at her home in Goldendale Sunday, June 19 at 10:15
a.m. Services were conducted by Rev. Martin Skehan at the Catholic Church
at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 22. Burial was made in the Catholic Cemetery.
The deceased came to Goldendale in 1916 settling with
her husband on a farm east of Goldendale. In 1919 she moved to Goldendale
where she has since made her home.
Mrs. Rauscher is survived by two sons and two daughters,
Andy and Herman Rauscher, Mrs. Amelia Hoctor and Mrs. Laura McDowell all
of Goldendale; three grandchildren, Pauline Coffield of Wishram, Don and
Wayne Hoctor of Goldendale and three great grandchildren.
