CLYDE REDMANN PASSES AT 71; SERVICES HELD OCTOBER 6
Clyde Redmann, a long- time resident of Cook, died at
the Hood River Care Center Saturday, October 6 at the age of 71.
Clyde Nicholas Redmann was born in New York City September
12, 1913 and came west to this area of Washington in 1939. Mr. Redmann and
Alice Kelchner of Bingen were married December 19, 1942.
Clyde worked for the Triple A Orchards for three years
and then for the Broughton Lumber Co. at Willard for 26 years, until his
retirement in 1976. He loved to hunt and fish and was an outgoing person
who enjoyed playing the guitar and banjo for dances in the area. Besides
his family, he leaves a host of friends.
Mr. Redmann is survived by his wife, Alice, at home in
Cook; and five daughters, Betsy Poisel of Woodland, Nora Allen of Modesto,
California, Nikki Knoll of North Bonneville, Sharon Baxter of Willard and
Tammy Redmann of San Francisco. There are 15 in grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, October 9 at the
historic Chris-Zada Cemetery in Underwood, with the Rev. Stephen Barnes
officiating.
Gardner's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
