RITES HELD FOR NELSON SAMPSON
Services were held at Gardner's Funeral Home at 11 a.m.
Monday, Nov. 11, for Nelson Sampson, 73, resident of W.S. for six years until
he recently moved to Stevenson.
Rev. Roger L. Clevenger of Bethel Congregational church
officiated. Mrs. Esther Hendryx was soloist. Burial was in the Odd Fellows
cemetery beside his wife who died in October 1953.
Pall bearers were Joe Blouin, Ron Henderson, Jack Callahan,
Louis Bradshaw, John Becknell and Bob McCugh.
Mr. Sampson was born Nov. 4, 1884 at Red Lake Falls,
Minnesota and died Wednesday, Nov. 6 at Skyline hospital from a heart
ailment.
He is survived by two sons, Virgil and James both of
Stevenson; three daughters, Mrs. Alice Essex of Carson, Mrs. Agnes Tschirgi
of Ontario, Oregon and Mrs. Marjene Peterson of Boise, Idaho; three brothers
living in the east, 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
