MRS. L.G. SEATON

     Cassie Pearl Seaton, a former resident of White Salmon died Monday May 22 in San Francisco. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. John (Eunice) Mongan, with whom she had been living, and Mrs. Lois Sprague; and two grandchildren. Mrs. Gryce Read of White Salmon is her niece.
     Her husband, Louis G. Seaton died December 24, 1965.
     Graveside services will be Thursday, May 25 at 3:30, with those who plan to attend asked to meet at Gardner's Funeral Home. Burial will be in Goodwill Cemetery.
     Mrs. Seaton was born Jan. 7, 1885. With her husband she moved to White Salmon in 1909, then moved the next year to Walla Walla. They returned here in 1918 and remained until their retirement in 1956, when they moved to San Francisco to be near their daughters.
     Mrs. Seaton operated a maternity home in White Salmon in the house now occupied by the Gryce Reads. Instructed by Dr. John Barber, she opened the home in 1933 with enough room for seven cases. Over 300 babies were born there by the time it was closed in 1939. The Seaton's son, Gorman, died in August of 1939.
