FINAL RITES HELD WEDNESDAY CECIL R. WEST
Cecil Ross West, resident of White Salmon since 1928,
passed away in White Salmon on February 21st. Mr. West was born to Mary and
Thomas West on December 15th, 1878 in Maryette, Ohio.
He came west with his family in 1894 and for a number
of years farmed on the family ranch at Appleton, Washington. Later he worked
for the Klickitat County road system.
On June 12th, 1908 he was united in marriage to Nettie
A. West at the family home in Appleton.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 24th,
1 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in White Salmon with Rev. Donald Kaelin
officiating. Vocalist was Robert Van Alstine and organist was Mrs. John Halver.
Casket bearers were: Gregory West, Damon Camp, Francis
Logan, William Manly, Ralph Williams, Clarence Johnson, Sr.
Interment was at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Appleton,
Washington.

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Shurtz and Louie Nagel attended the funeral of Cecil West from White Salmon, Wednesday afternoon. He was buried in the Pleasant Hill cemetery, Appleton. Mrs. Dode Sorensen of Friend, Or. attended the funeral also, staying the night with her brother and sister.
