"Local News"
The death of Caroline S. Walker, widow of the late Franklin Walker, occurred Tuesday of this week at the home of her son Harmon, who resides in Crofton Prairie. She was 75 years, 6 months and 7 days of age at the time. The funeral service will be held Thursday morning at the Chapman Chapel, interment taking place at the Spring Creek cemetery. She leaves four children, in the immediate family: Mrs. Henry Clarence, Herman and Clanton Walker, all residing here, and a son in Iowa. An obituary will be published next issue.

OBITUARY
The funeral of the late Mrs. Caroline Walker, of Crofton Prairie, was held Sept. 12, 1929, from the Chapman chapel, Rev. Young officiating. Mrs. Walker was 75 years of age, and is survived by three sons and one daughter, Mrs. Grant Clarence.

"The Passing Away Of Old Rime Residents"
MRS. FRANKLIN WALKER
Carrie S. Fitch was born in Verona, Oneida county, N.Y.,
March 3, 1854.
On February 18, 1874, she was married to Franklin Walker,
of Richville, St. Lawrence County, N.Y.
In 1885 they moved to Montro, South Dakota, and lived
there until 1903, when they moved to Milton, Oregon.
In April, 1904, they moved to Crofton Prairie, in Klickitat
county, near Goldendale.
Here her husband, Mr. Walker, passed away, on September
25, 1911. Since that time she had made her home with her oldest son, Herman
Walker.
Mrs. Walker departed this life on September 10, 1929,
at the age of 74 years, 6 months and 7 days. She was a member of the Methodist
church, and leaves to mourn her loss, one daughter and three sons, -- Lillian
E. Clarence, Herman H. Walker, Clinton L. Walker, all of Crofton Prairie,
and Elbert F. Walker, of Iowa, besides a host of friends and relatives.
