CHARLEY YEACKEL PASSES; SERVICES FRIDAY AFTERNOON
Charley Yeackel, a pioneer resident of the Centerville
area, passed away Wednesday morning at the Klickitat Valley Hospital. Services
will be held from the Phillips Funeral Home in Goldendale Friday afternoon,
April 14 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Walter Smith officiating. Interment will
be made in the Centerville cemetery.
Yeackel is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Mark Kayser
of Centerville and Mrs. Paul Davenport of Goldendale; three brothers, the
Joe and Fred, of Centerville and Henry of The Dalles; one sister, Mrs. Mabel
Allen of Condon, Ore.

CHARLES YEACKEL
Charles Yeackel was born in Swift County, Minnesota,
May 5, 1876. He came to Klickitat County with his parents in 1877 and lived
in the Centerville community until the time of his death on April 12, 1950.
He was married to Anna Kaidera on June 21, 1900. Three
children were born to this union, one, a son, died in infancy, and two daughters,
Mrs. Mark Kayser, of Centerville, and Mrs. Paul Davenport, of Goldendale.
Others surviving him are three brothers, Henry, of The
Dalles, and Joe and Fred, of Centerville; one sister, Mrs. Mabel Allen of
Condon, Ore.; 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Phillips Funeral Home
on Friday, April 14, with the Rev. Walter G. Smith officiating. Interment
was made in the Centerville Grange cemetery.
