MATTSON

     Clarence W. (Pat) Mattson, born May 22, 1906 at Centerville to Frank and Hilda Mattson, passed away July 16 at his home in Grants Pass, Oregon.
     After spending most of his life in the Centerville area as a farmer, and as purchasing agent for Klickitat County Public Utility District, he moved in 1976 to Grants Pass.
     While here, he was a member of the Finnish Lutheran Church, the Centerville Grange, and the Neighbors of Woodcraft, and was a board member of the fire and cemetery districts.
     Preceded in death by his parents and by a daughter, Delories, Mr. Mattson is survived by his wife Lorene, a son Gerald, and a daughter, Joyce DeChenne, all of Grants Pass, and by seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren, along with other relatives and a host of friends.
     Funeral services were held June 20 at the Knosher-Erdman Funeral Home, Eldon Wiidanen officiating. Interment followed in the Centerville Cemetery.
     Pallbearers were Tony and Todd DeChenne, Garth and Jeff Mattson, and Dennis and Garth Davis.

     C.W. Mattson, 78, died Monday, July 16, 1984, at his home, 274 Lakeview Drive.
     Funeral arrangements are pending at Slawson's Chapel of the Valley.

CLARENCE MATTSON

     Funeral services will be in Goldendale, Wash., for Clarence (Pat) Mattson, 78, who died Monday, July 16, 1984, at his home, 274 Lakeview Drive.
     The service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Knosher Funeral Home. Burial will be in Centerville, Wash. Slawson's Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
     Mattson was born May 22, 1906, in Centerville, and was purchasing agent for the Goldendale Public Utilities District until his retirement in 1969. He came here in 1976 from Centerville, where he belonged to the Finnish Lutheran Church, the Centerville Grange, the Centerville Fire and Cemetery district boards of directors and the Neighbors of Woodcraft.
     Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Lorene, of Grants Pass, son of Gerald of Salem, daughter Joyce Dechenne of Grants Pass, seven grandchildren and two great-grand children.
