SERVICE HELD FOR CLIFF STEWART ON MONDAY 10TH
Mr. Stewart came to Trout Lake, Washington in 1912 and
was married to Mary Ellen Duncan December 28, 1913, in Trout Lake at the
home of her parents.
Mr. Stewart was a Past Master of the Masonic Lodge, Trout
Lake, Washington, a member of the Trout Lake Grange and Mt. Adams Elks.
He was born at Hebron, Illinois, March 3, 1891 and passed
away at Tacoma, Washington on June 6, 1963.
Surviving is his wife, Mary Ellen Stewart of Trout Lake,
Washington; a son, Sgt. Stanley D. Stewart of Edgewood, Maryland; and daughters,
Mrs. George (Margaret) Brock of Steilacoom, Washington and Mrs. Melvin (Donna)
Wilson of Burlington, Vermont; and ten grandchildren.
Services were held at Trout Lake Presbyterian Church
the 10th of June, 1963 with the Rev. Clarence Twigg officiating with interment
at Trout Lake Cemetery.

DEATH SUMMONS CLIFF STEWART
Funeral services for Clifford W. Stewart, 72, Trout Lake,
were held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 10, at Mt. Adams Presbyterian Church, Trout
Lake. Gardners Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements. The Rev. Clarence
Twigg officiated.
Bearers were Charles Borigo, Harley Fordyce, Ron Ryan,
Walter Schmid, Edgar Knoll and Wesley Laubscher. Burial was at Trout Lake.
Mr. Stewart was born in Hebron, Illinois, March 9, 1891
and came to Trout Lake in 1912. He was married to Mary Ellen Duncan December
28, 1913 at the home of her parents in Trout Lake.
Prior to retirement seven years ago, he was sawmill
superintendent for Hollenbeck Lumber Co. He was a Past Master of the Masonic
Lodge of Trout Lake; a member of the Trout Lake Grange and Mt. Adams Elks.
Mr. Stewart has been ill for several years and hospitalized
since March 16. He died Thursday, June 16 in a Tacoma hospital.
He is survived by his widow, Mary Ellen Stewart of Trout
Lake; son, Sgt. Stanley D. Stewart of Edgewood, Maryland; daughters, Mrs.
George (Margaret) Brock of Steilacoom and Mrs. Melvin (Donna) Wilson of
Burlington, Vermont; and ten grandchildren.

"Trout Lake"
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon for Cliff Stewart, a resident of T.L. for most of the last 52 years. Death came after a prolonged illness. Fortunately his son, Stanley of Edgewood, Md. who is an officer at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds; Mrs. Mike Brock and family of Steilacoom and Mrs. Melvin Wilson of Great Falls, Mont., were all home to be with their mother at this time. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson and family had arrived in the valley Memorial Day to visit her parents before the Wilsons left for Vermont where he is to be stationed.
