DOROTHY PARRISH

     PENDLETON - The funeral for Dorothy Parrish will be 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel at Erdman Funeral Home in Goldendale, Wash., with interment at the family plot of Lone Pine Cemetery at High Prairie.
     Mrs. Parrish, 84, of Pendleton, died Sunday, Aug. 10, 1997, at Pendleton.
     She was born on January 3, 1913, at Quincy, Wash., to Alfonzo and Emma Sweet. She attended rural schools  in Quincy, and on Dec. 17, 1934, married William L. Parrish at Walla Walla.
     They lived at Pendleton and before moving to High Prairie in 1963 and into Goldendale in 1981.
     They farmed at High Prairie, raising wheat and cattle.
     Mrs. Parrish enjoyed sewing and playing cards.
     She came to Pendleton in 1996 to be near her daughter.
     Her husband, William, died in 1987. Survivors include sons, James in Wisconsin, and William of Parkdale, Ore.; daughters, Kathryn Montgomery of Pendleton and Alice Parker of Wapato, Wash.; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a sister, Winifred Clow of Colusa, Calif.
     Memorial contributions may be made to the Umatilla County Historical Society or the American Heart Association, directly or through Erdman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 134, Goldendale, Washington 98620.

DOROTHY PARRISH

     Dorothy Parrish, 84, of Pendleton, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 10 in Pendleton.
     She was born on Jan. 3, 1913 in Quincy, Wash. to Alfonzo and Emma Sweet. She attended rural schools at Quincy.
     Dorothy was united in marriage to William L. Parrish on Dec. 17, 1934 in Walla Walla. The family lived at Pendleton until moving to High Prairie in 1963 and into Goldendale in 1981.
     Dorothy and her husband were farmers who raised wheat and cattle. She later moved back to Pendleton to be near her daughter. She enjoyed sewing and playing cards.
     Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband.
     Survivors include: her two sons, James R. of Wisconsin and William E. of Parkdale, Ore.; two daughters, Kathryn Montgomery of Pendleton and Alice Parker of Wapato, nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a sister Winifred Clow of Colusa, Calif.
     Funeral services were hled on Aug. 15 at the Erdman Funeral Home. Interment  was in the family plot of Lone Pine Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Klickitat Co. Historical Society or the Goldendale Senior Center.
