GUN FALLS, BOY KILLED
Daniel, the 16 year old son on Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Schmidt
of Guler, was accidentally shot Tuesday afternoon. A gun which he carried
on the rake he was riding in the hay field fell off and was discharged, the
loads of both barrels passing through his abdomen.
His parents were out in the huckleberry fields, and only
his younger brothers and sisters were at home. They heard the shots but thought
nothing of it. A half hour later they found their brother dying in the hay
field.
