DAVID ALLEN SHATRAW
David Allen Shatraw, 18, of Goldendale, died on Oct.
20, 2001 from injuries sustained when the truck he was working on rolled
on top of him. The accident happened near Ellensburg.
He was born Jan. 24, 1983 in Goldendale to Judy Anne
and Harvey Shatraw. He attended schools in Goldendale and graduated from
Holy Trinity home school in 2001.
David worked as a mechanic, logger and cowboy. He was
involved in 4-H, riding and training horses. He liked mechanics and car body
work, drawing pictures, building car models, helping his friends and family,
fishing, hunting, gymnastics, bike riding and snow-boarding.
Survivors include his parents, Harvey and Judy Anne Shatraw
of New York, N.Y.; one brother, Richard and children, Tyler, Brittany and
Joseph Shatraw and brother Tim Shatraw, all of Goldendale; three sisters,
Mary-Ellen Clark and husband Baron; Theresa Clark and husband Josh and their
son Gabriel, and Laura Shatraw all of New York, N.Y.; a sister-in-law, Betty
Shatraw of Goldendale; his maternal grandmother, Frances Scarola of Goldendale,
and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Friday, Oct.26
at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Goldendale with Fr. William
Byron, Celebrant. Rosary services will be on Thursday evening at 6:30p.m.
at the church. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery under the care
of Erdman Funeral Home.
