"Local News"

     Duane A. Young, 77, who has been residing on a farm in the Spring Creek section, died Sunday morning, June 9th, following a several day's illness with pneumonia. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. from the Chapman Chapel. Interment was in the Spring Creek Cemetery.

DUAIN A. YOUNG

     Duain A. Young was born December 10th, 1858, and the state of Illinois, and passed away June 9th, 1935, at his home in the Spring Creek section. Mr. Young had been a resident of the state of Washington for fourteen years, coming here from Grey Eagle, Minnesota.
     August 12th, 1878, he was united in marriage with Miss Emma Johnson, who preceded him in death on July 26th, 1934. To this union were born five children: Mrs. A. Mortlock, Port Townsend, Wash.; Mrs. Bertha Conklin, Yakima, Wash. and; Mrs. E. Basener, Circle, Mont.; J.A. Young, Dexter, Minn., and C.E. Young, Wahathon, and several grandchildren. Mr. Young was ill but a few days.
     Funeral services were held from the Chapman Chapel, Wednesday, June 12th, 1935, at 2:00 p.m., B.E. Stone, of the Gospel Assembly, officiating, interment following in the Spring Creek Cemetery.

DWAIN YOUNG DIES AT HOME
Was Resident of Spring Creek District for 15 Yrs. Passes suddenly

     Services honoring the memory of Dwain A. Young, rancher of the Spring Creek district who died suddenly last week, were conducted from the Chapman chapel last Wednesday afternoon. Burial was in the Spring Creek cemetery beside his wife who passed away July 26, 1934. Mr. Young was 77.
     The deceased was born in Illinois, December 10, 1858, and died on June 9, 1935. He had come with his wife to Klickitat county 15 years ago and had settled in the Spring Creek area.
     He is survived by three daughters and two sons: Mrs. A. Mortlock of Port Townsend, Wash., Mrs. Bertha Conklin of Yakima, Mrs. E. Basener of Circle, Montana, J.A. Young of Dexter, Minnesota and C.E. Young of Wakaha, Minnesota.
     Mr. Young was married to Miss Emma Johnson in Iowa Falls, Iowa August 12, 1878. Prior to their residence in this county, the family spent a short time in Oregon. Mr. Young's death came after he had over-exerted himself at work on the farm. Pneumonia followed resulting in his death a few days later.

     Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 12, for D.A. Young, 77, farmer of the Spring Creek section, west of Goldendale.
     Funeral services were conducted from the Chapman chapel June 12. Interment was in the Spring Creek cemetery beside his wife who passed away July 26, 1934. Mr. Young was 77. He came to Klickitat County 15 years ago and settled in the Spring Creek section.
     Mr. Young was married to Miss Emma Johnson, in Iowa Falls, Iowa, August 12, 1878. He is survived by three daughters and two sons: Mrs. A. Mortlock, of Port Townsend, Mrs. Bertha Conklin of Yakima, Mrs. E. Basener of Circle, Mont., J.A. Young of Dexter, Minn., and C.E. Young of Wakaha, Minn.
