MRS. DORA BELL SMITH
Mrs. Dora Bell Smith was born on March 4, 1863 in Holton,
Kansas. In 1886 she was married to Mr. Jack Phillips and removed with him
to Goldendale, Washington in 1884. Some time after they moved to Appleton,
Washington, where Mr. Phillips passed away in 1915. In 1920 she married Mr.
Ernest Smith of Appleton, and was benefit of her husband two months ago on
December 11, 1934.
Mrs. Smith passed away suddenly in Portland, Oregon on
February 14, 1935 at the age of 71 years. She was a member of the First Methodist
Episcopal Church of Vancouver, Washington, and active in the Woman's Club
of Klickitat. She leaves to mourn her loss three daughters, Mrs. John Berry
of Klickitat, Wash., Mrs. Maud O'Neal, of Vancouver, Washington, and Mrs.
Hazel Hall of Kent, Washington, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Roy Jenkins at the Lyle Methodist
Episcopal Church with interment in the Appleton cemetery.
