"Lyle"
D.E. Witt, of Maryhill, former Lyle resident, died at The Dalles hospital Tuesday evening of last week, and was buried Thursday. Services were held in the church here with interment at the Lyle cemetery. Much sympathy is extended to the bereaved family.

Funeral services are being planned today for D.E. Witt of Maryhill who died here last night at a local hospital. Crandall's will have charge of the arrangements.

LAST RITES HELD
(Daily of April 27)
Funeral services were conducted today at Lyle for D.E.
Witt, 72, former Wasco county resident, who died at a local hospital. He
was in charge of the castle ranch for the Sam Hill estate at Maryhill.
D.E. Witt was born in Tennessee March 5, 1861, moving
to California when a young by. He moved to Nansene 38 years ago when he entered
the cattle business and later settled at Glenwood and Lyle, Wash.
He is survived by his wife and one son, Charles, of
Sacremento. Burial was at Lyle under the direction of Crandall 's.
