DANIEL MEADOWS
Daniel Gray Meadows, a longtime White Salmon resident,
died in Portland on Oct. 31,1993, at the age of 87.
Mr. Meadows was born April 11, 1906, in Macon County,
N.C. to Ethel (Morgan) and Emlis Meadows. He grew up in North Carolina, marrying
Edna Owenby in 1925. They farmed there until moving to the White Salmon area
in 1947. He was an orchardist and farmer here until his retirement. He attended
the Seventh-day Adventist Church in White Salmon.
Mr. Meadows is survived by his children J.D. Meadows,
Klickitat, Betty Paulson, Tacoma, Sue Hail, Wauna, Ore., Jo Davis, Ocean
Park, Jim Meadows, Hood River, Carol Koitzch, Kirkland, Emma Mutter, Ocean
Park, Dan Meadows, White Salmon, and Corene Revier, Portland; brothers L.E.
Meadows, Tennessee, Hoke Meadows, North Carolina, and Bill Meadows, North
Carolina; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Services for Mr. Meadows were held Wednesday, Nov. 3,
at 1 p.m. at Gardner Funeral Home, with Mrs. Homer Coulson officiating. Interment
will be at White Salmon Cemetery.
