DeLENA G. TILLITT
DeLena Grace Tillitt, of Oroville, Calif., and recently
of Trout Lake, died Tuesday, Oct. 6, in the Hood River (Ore.) Care Center,
at the age of 75.
She was born Aug. 11, 1912 to John M. and Lujennie (Dewey)
Rummel in Eureka, Mont.
She was raised in Montana. After her marriage to Ralph
Tillitt, she lived in Trout Lake, Portland, Ore., and eventually Oroville,
Calif. The couple moved back to the Mid-Columbia area recently when her health
failed, and to be near her family. She was a homemaker and a member of
Neighborhood Church of Oroville, Calif.
Mrs. Tillitt is survived by sons Glen of Wallowa, Ore.,
and Leroy of Portland, Ore.; sisters Eva Lenarz of Eureka, Mont., Edna Ragsdale
of Grandview, Wash., and Mary Ruth Rummel of Portland: brother Dean Rummel
of Trout Lake, and seven grandchildren.
Services for Mrs. Tillitt will be held at 2 p.m. Friday.
Oct. 16, in Mt. Adams Baptist Church, Trout Lake, with Pastor Dick Steward
officiating. Interment will follow in the White Salmon Cemetery, under the
direction of Gardner Funeral Home, White Salmon.
